I chose to do my essay based on option #1. I chose this option because monsters and creatures do not excite me. I know that if I am going to be able to write a good paper I will have to write about something that interests me. I am planning on reading some of Karen Kingsbury’s novels. I just finished one and I have read a few of her books in the past and she is a wonderful writer. I am hoping to be able to dive in to her mind and explore what her writings mean. Where are these stories coming from? Why is she trying to write about this particular subject? I will be searching Karen Kingsbury and her life. What may have happened in her life that affected her writing? In order to successfully conduct research on Karen Kingsbury I will be searching through the Library data base. I will probably use Literature Online (LION) and Literature Criticism Online (LCO) to search my author. I am also going to try to find an autobiography on Kingsbury as well. I am hoping that through research and her readings that I will be able to write a successful paper.

I think this assignment will be great for you and I think you will be successful in writing a great paper since you seem to have your plan for this paper already mapped out! It sounds like you are excited and ready to jump right into this essay! I thought about doing option #1 but then I decided on option #2 because it interested me more, and I couldn't really decide on a particular writer. I wish I had everything mapped out already but it takes me sometime, writing papers is differently not my strong suit or my favorite thing to do. Well good luck on your paper! It sounds to me like you will do an excellent job!

I also picked option 1 because monsters do not excite me either, nor do they make any sense to me. It sounds like you really know what you are doing, I have no idea what I am really doing. ReplyDeleteI chose option 1 for pretty much the same reasons. It seems like the Frankenstein assignment was a good warm up for this assignment. Since we found out that things that happen in writer's lives affect their writing, it gives us more ideas of how to analyze the books we're reading on our own. Seems like you're going to end up with a good paper!
